from 896 reviewsExcellent car radio unit, even better with the new software. a very good and pratical experience
Echoing all the five star reviews; I think it’s important to identify a few complexities I experienced during installation.
All instructions are clear; don’t read into them….for my 2010 Tundra SR5 …
The connection harness used did not “perfectly match up,” meaning I used only 3…
There will need to be a “load wire” run from the tailgate camera to the passenger rear reverse light…
In sum, select the correct harness, and if it fits, plug it in, and it’ll work; hence, plug and play….
Currently, I am attempting to determine the correct CANbus to select for the steering wheel controls to function properly; I’ve tried a few different options; that said, I’ll need to reach out to support to help determine the correct settings..
All this to say…thus far, this is an exceptional product and is as described…
Rihanna, from the customers' support team responded in a very professional manner, providing requested info about the unit (manual, package content etc.). I'd definitely recommend to Dasaita products for DIY installation because of their outstanding pre-sale support.
Dasaita customer service rep has provided a full support for this unit fit for my car. Explained pros and cons. Asked questions and responded back very fast.
Ok
Upgrading your Ford Maverick radio is one of the most popular interior mods for Maverick owners who want to move past the basic 8-inch factory screen. Unlike the standard stock radio, this is a Android 13 integration. This unit is a much better option than the carabc unit.
Screen
High-Tech Upgrade with a Learning Curve
The Screen go from a 8 inch screen to a massive 12.3-inch 2K QLED display. It completely transforms the look of the dash, replacing the small screen sacrificing the cubby for edge-to-edge glass interface.
Performance
Powered by 8GB of RAM and a Qualcomm processor, it is faster and more responsive than the base Ford SYNC system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect faster than the factory wired versions.
Sound Quality
It includes a built-in DSP and a better internal amp. This gives the factory speakers sound "fuller" and louder due to the better equalizer options.
Installation
It is advertised as Plug & Play. You retain your steering wheel controls and backup camera. though to note the factory backup camera looks different on a large high-resolution screen.
Overall the best option in my opinion for upgrading your Maverick radio. Installation is not to complicated just follow the video provided by Dasaita on YouTube. Fordpass app still works on my truck. Which was equipped with a basic ford sync system with wired android auto. Some users having reported losing access after install. This radio is also not compatible with the B&O audio systems. The cost alone is better than spending thousands on aftermarket kits.
Very nice looking sterio;I get many compliments. It was an easy install and comes with everything needed. I have installed many stereos and will say this is one of my all time favorites.
I'm very happy with the purchase, the unit works very well, installation was no brainer. Only complaint is the reverse camera takes 2 - 3 seconds to display image after putting reverse but apperntly is normal in this unit. Few questions where very nicely and fast answered by email. Rihanna was very helpfull giving tech suppport!
Just finished installing the Dasaita Android13 in a 2015 Toyota Camry and very impressed. Before installing it I looked at a few YouTube videos, so was well aware of the process (don't forget to connect the yellow RCA jacks together for the backup camera). The installation took about 1.5 hours. The deck has worked flawlessly and what a difference from the OEM deck. Just having wireless Android Auto makes the purchase worth it. Anyone looking to enhance their audio experience from the OEM system should consider this upgrade.
I have installed these type of Android tablet head unit replacements before, and this by far is my favorite.
First, it looks great. Great color and contrast, really pops. Unit is very responsive to touch controls as well. Both look and feel way outperform the original OEM 8" screen. Sound quality is much improved, as you actually swap out the old ACM for a new one. This is not as hard as it sounds, as Dasaita has a pretty good install video (slow it down when they start putting in the connectors) and detailed documentation. Plus, they have very good at answering a couple questions about setting, etc.
The Home screen is basically an Android tablet with car related functions and apps built in. You have the ability to download apps from the Play store, and rearrange them to your preference, with some limitations. You can also run split screen.
Maps works great, both off Home screen, or via Android Auto/Carplay, wired or wireless. 256gb space plus a USB for expansion or add-on.
I installed a T-Mobile sim card and have had great connectivity.
Steering wheel controls, environment controls, voice commands all still work.
Caveat, I have an XLT with the base SYNC. You will lose SYNC function access unless you download the Ford Pass app. Also, if you have a Lariet with B&O audio, this may not work, or at minimum you will get a different set of wire harnesses. Check your model with them before you buy.
I really like this stereo it has all kinds of cool things that you can do with it and it looks like it’s factory
I have had it installed for about a week and everything is working great. I am still figuring things out. It has many features I have not even explored yet. I also purchased the recommended backup camera and it looks great on the very clear screen. This has been a very worthwhile upgrade. My wife jokes that it probably doubled the value of my beat up 2005 Tacoma.
Ottimo prodotto! Da acquistare!
great product, no complains so far.
When installing the product we realized that there was a missing cable. Within 2 hours of us reaching out a customer service member was already working to resolve the issue!
