I installed this Dasaita stereo in my 2020 Toyota 4Runner, and the difference is amazing. The 9-inch screen is clear and easy to use, and best of all, Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. No more dealing with cables, which makes driving much more convenient. It also has 4G LTE, so I have internet on the go. Installation was pretty straightforward. Highly recommend if you want to modernize your car and have the latest tech!
First off, Great headunit, Easy to install.
Coming from another aftermarket headunit t9v2 another great headunit, was a bit hesitant to try another brand but finally decided to try it and its worth it, price wise its great.
Backup camera works great, audio is also nice, have so many options to work with.
I mainly use apple carplay but the times ive used other apps it works so smooth. You are able to customize so many things on it which i like and its so easy to use.
One of the only downside in which isnt bad is the mic, still sounds a bit low but maybe havent found the way to fix it but it has been the problem with other aftermarket headunits.
The best thing id say is how responsive it is compare to most of the other ones ive seen and had. Overall one of the best if not the best headunit for 2010 to 2022 4runners.
Let me start off by saying that this android replacement tablet is by far one of the best mods I've done to my 4runner. The display is nice and crisp, the steering wheel controls and reverse camera work perfect (once you figure out the wiring) and having a sim card slot is AWESOME. I use onX offroad app to route our overlanding trips. With this, I was able to download the app and pre-save all the offline maps so I never have to rely on my phone. Oh and having apps that allow you to watch TV shows and movies is nice too for long trips.
Now the bad. The tablet comes with everything you need but inside is every harness for model year 2010-2023. Although they tell you which harness is for your year, there's a bunch of "optional" harnesses and what not. Honestly the hardest part was swapping the plastic housing and vents over from the old stereo. I spent about and hour trying to fit the 4 way flasher button into the new tablet just to realize they send you a cutout for the 20-23 models. Although there are directions, they're a tad bit confusing as far as what gets plugged into what. Every harness has optional stero inputs (if you have after market speakers and amp). Even every video online doesn't clearly explain the wiring but I suggest you watch 3 or 4 different videos, go slow and mark the main cables. After plugging everything in, chances are you will have leftover cables that aren't plugged into anything on the car side (and tablet side) but don't worry about them.
All in all, I'm glad I got this. It's affordable, compared to name brand, and the sim through Verizon for unlimited data is only $15/month. Speaking of which, mount your 4g antenna OUTSIDE the dash. I ran mine through the passenger side front dash speaker tweeter and glued it onto the b-pillar. It looks good. Some people hide it behind, but I don't care that much. Will be buying one for my wife's corolla soon.
Looked into many many aftermarket brands and Daisata always came up. Decided to give them a try on the newest stereo. Figured that by now they would have worked out their firmware issues from previous stereos. Boy was I right, this thing took me 1.5 hrs to install. Instructions can be a little bit better, but I figured it out. You can’t really mess up the connectors. The overall metal housing did not align correctly with the bolts but I was able to get it installed. Looks flawless, it’s fast and overall a great upgrade to my 2010 4Runner. Stereo looks OEM and the daisata logo isn’t even on it. Worth it!!!!!
30 min install during my lunch break. I have wireless CarPlay now and an unlimited SIM card inside it so I can watch Netflix, YouTube and Google Maps with no issues.
