The Dasaita unit uses a dedicated CANBUS protocol box that preserves: ✅ Remote start & remote door lock/unlock ✅ Steering wheel controls ✅ Factory amplifier (JBL & non-JBL systems) ✅ Backup camera with dynamic trajectory lines (turn-tracking guides) ✅ Vehicle settings (tire pressure, door lock settings, etc.) What does change: Toyota Connect (the cloud-based connected services like remote vehicle status via the Toyota App) will no longer function, as it relies on the OEM head unit's cellular modem. This is common to all aftermarket head units, not just Dasaita. Navigation and real-time traffic are fully replaced by the built-in Android GPS + Google Maps / Waze.

The Dasaita 14" unit does not have a built-in physical volume knob — it follows the modern touchscreen-centric design (similar to newer Tesla and Toyota interfaces). However: Steering wheel controls remain fully functional for volume up/down and track skipping. Voice control — Built-in Google Assistant lets you adjust volume hands-free.

The unit includes an external microphone that mounts on the A-pillar or overhead console for clear hands-free calling. The factory OEM microphone cannot be directly used — this is a known limitation of the Android-based platform's audio routing.
