Great unit, easy to install.
Easy to install. Great upgrade to My car from the oem radio. I have noticed a increase in sound quality.
A lot of companies make aftermarket head units but dasainti is the best by far. Very good customer service, i ordered the wrong head unit and they sent me the correct harness for free, they will try their best to answer any questions about wiring, their head unit comes with really good packaging, with manuals for everything. Also the head unit just looks very nice once installed. There are cheaper aftermarket head units that in theory do the same thing but you get what you pay for. I’ve ordered aftermarket head units from Amazon and they would be missing parts such as GOS antennas, the usb cords, canbuses, etc. with dasainti you will get everything you need to install your head unit
HA5801-G12 installed in my 2021 RAV4 Hybrid without too many issues. I had to swap the CANBUS modules (was supplied with both RP2-TY-001 and RP5-TY-001) around to find the correct match for my car. Correct one (RP2) restored all of the steering wheel controls. External DAB+ module installed and was able, with a modified cable) to use the factory installed DAB aerial. Reversing camera needed a few tests of the settings to get it switch on when going into reverse gear. A firmware and MCU update was applied to enable the 4G SIM option (on the advice of the support team)
Unit was easily fitted into dashboard and looks part of the whole console. My questions to support were answered promptly and helped to resolve the issues I came across.
I've had extensive experience with several Android head units. This one has been the best "out of the box" experience so far.InstallationInstallation in my 2022 JT was very straightforward. All necessary harnesses to retain factory USB ports (dash and console) were included. The retention harness for the factory backup camera worked. The most challenging part of the installation was getting the canbus box, camera retention adapter and all wiring crammed behind the dash. There’s very little room back there on the JL/JT. I stuck the 4G and GPS antenna on top of the head unit itself. This works fine and GPS signal is excellent. I opted not to run the external microphone. The internal mic seems to be of decent enough quality. I’ve been told it sounds similar to the factory UConnect mic.Sound QualityI have the base non-Alpine system in my JT. Sound quality seems a bit better with the Dasaita head unit, but it’s hard for me to judge here due to the limitations of the factory speakers.UsabilityBoot Time - Cold boot up time is just over 30 seconds (see video). After the initial boot up the unit sleeps and only fully powers off if it detects the car battery is low. This cuts down the boot up time to just a second or two. This behavior is customizable. You can set it to shut off immediately, after 1 hour, etc.Launcher/interface – The default interface is okay. The home screen has widgets for Navigation, Music and Radio. If you change the default navigation app the Navi widget takes you to the correct app. The other two (Music/Radio) don’t appear to be customizable. I also don’t think you can remove them from the home screen although I haven’t dug into the settings. Swiping left from the home screen takes you through a list of installed Android apps. The unit comes bundled with some common ones – Netflix, Hulu, Google Maps and more. The latest versions of these apps from the Play Store work fine on this device. GaiaGPS also works. I will probably swap over to Dasaita’s Vivid launcher when it’s available for the G12 or possibly an alternative like Agama or Car Launcher Pro.Vehicle integration – Vehicle settings (at least those that apply to my truck) previously in Uconnect are available in the Car Settings app. There’s a popup with climate information that appears briefly as you use the physical buttons in the stock HVAC controls (see photo). There’s also an “AC” app that will control HVAC, heated steering wheel and heated seats (if equipped). It does have buttons for features your truck may not have. That’s not a big deal to me, but some users may find that annoying. The stock volume and tune knobs in the factory HVAC controls still work. I understand why Dasaita included knobs on the unit. Those replacing the 5” Uconnect radio would not have physical volume/tune knobs available otherwise. The rest of us just end up with two sets of knobs that do the same thing. I do not know if the vehicle integration supports setting options for the factory AUX switches since my truck does not have those. I did not see anything related to them in the options.Android Auto – This works fine. It seems to connect almost immediately 90% of the time. On occasion I’ve noticed it can take ~30 seconds or so to connect wirelessly.Apple Carplay – Not tested.4G LTE Connectivity – Works great with a T-Mobile sim. 4G speeds aren’t great in my area. It works about as well as anything.Bluetooth devices - Phone works, obviously. I have not yet tried any other Bluetooth accessories. I expect the Bluetooth is locked down to only work with a few OBD readers and such. Most of these Android head units don't offer full Bluetooth functionality for accessories. If I'm wrong about this one, I'll provide an update here.Issues- After first installing the unit the backup camera worked, but the image would “glitch” every 10-15 seconds. That issue seems to have fixed itself. Why? I don’t know. I will continue to monitor and update the review if it’s a problem again.- Home screen widget would not display the date when the date format was set to MM/DD/YYYY. Corrected that with a firmware update from Dasaita.Annoyances- Every other Android head unit I’ve owned has had a reboot/restart option in the pull-down menu. This one does not. In the event it does misbehave there’s no easy way to force a reboot other than accessing the factory settings and clicking “apply” to prompt a reboot. That should be easily corrected with a software update. These are very minor complaints considering the power and flexibility an Android head unit gives you.Overall, I feel like Dasaita has a winner with the G12.
I really love the unit. Installed it on my Tundra 2018. Really easy to install and it has everything needed for easy installation. Every cable should have where to connect except for 2 cables but very easy to know not to use it. Once everything gets put together. Getting everything setup with Android auto and setting. Were very easy to do. Specially since it's like an android phone. Very easy to use and their support was also very good. They respond to any question and help you with everything. I do recommend it. Love how steady it is. You can also shift the screen very easily to any direction.
This head unit is the best bang for your buck! The Apple car play works amazing, it bypasses the stock head unit sound output and is WAY louder I LOVE it! The G12 is the way to go!
Great quality

After 3 weeks of using the G12 unit I can share my thoughts.
Fit:
Fits perfectly with Qashqai J11 trims, no gaps, no squeaks and the colour matches perfectly.
Installation:
It is a plug and play unit and anyone can fit it. The only con is that there is no connection diagram in the box. You can find it on the Dasaita website in the help section. There are some video tutorials on YouTube but they use slightly different units and can be confusing.
Setup:
There are layers of the options to set, canbus, android and the unit itself. Took me a few days to get to the point where all functions work correctly.
My car is a top spec Tecna and I can confirm everything including 360 cameras and PA works correctly with this unit.
Functionality:
Absolutely amazing. I downloaded the "Auto HotSpot" app on my mobile so now when my phone detects my unit via BT the hot spot turns on automatically and my unit connects to the internet. With the internet connection it is a powerful tablet and does everything tablets do. Sat Nav - Waze, google, TomTom and any other you can find and install. Music - all apps available from google store. Video - all apps available in store. Games, emails, calendars, and everything else you can only imagine and download on your tablet. Additionally I bought £14 OBD2 BT reader and connected that with the unit. I can now read all parameters of my car live on the unit. I can run diagnostics and clear error codes as well.
Quality:
Display - a solid HD tablet display. Sound - definitely an upgrade from the factory unit. GPS - spot on. Calls - very good although I occasionally have interference and I have not yet figured out why. Responsiveness - very good.
Summary:
This unit completely transformed my car. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their outdated factory unit.
Looked into many many aftermarket brands and Daisata always came up. Decided to give them a try on the newest stereo. Figured that by now they would have worked out their firmware issues from previous stereos. Boy was I right, this thing took me 1.5 hrs to install. Instructions can be a little bit better, but I figured it out. You can’t really mess up the connectors. The overall metal housing did not align correctly with the bolts but I was able to get it installed. Looks flawless, it’s fast and overall a great upgrade to my 2010 4Runner. Stereo looks OEM and the daisata logo isn’t even on it. Worth it!!!!!
This unit fit perfectly to OEM spec, and integrated perfectly with all my controls (AC and steering wheel). You get what you pay for, and this is no exception.
Funciona todo. Gracias
