How to connect OBDII on G12

    OBDII connection tutorial on G12

    1.Go to System update and upgrade the OTA firmware to the latest version or download the newest firmware (version 20240302 or newer).

    2.Download and install the latest MCU(version 4.11 or newer, click to download).

    3.Go to Factory Settings > enter "hctbtup" to update the Bluetooth module, Click BT to download. 

    4.Use APKinstaller to install the OBD software Torque.

    5.Connect to OBD2 in Bluetooth.

    6.Turn on Torque and go to settings.

    7.Choose OBD adapter settings.

    8.Choose Bluetooth device and connect the OBDII.

    9.Return to Torque Realtime Information to view OBD data.

    Im not finding how to update BT in Factory Settings.  I downloaded the .bin file, but not seeing search function.

    @Brent Rivers Please download the BT update file, and then copy to a USB, then go to Settings > Factory Settings > enter password "hctbtup", it will start updating the BT, you could see the update status.

    @Brent Rivers Hi there, make sure that your head unit is G12.

    @Support Dasaita yes I have the G12 headunit.  It can see the OBDii, but will not connect.  I can use on my phone but bluetooth on the G12 will not connect to the OBD2 device.  It must connect before Torque can pull up in the list.
