As the subject says. The latest OTA update to the Android 12 unit for the 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra has changed Android Auto to a lower resolution making everything too big. The rest of the interface on the head unit seems fine otherwise.
@Randy T Could you please take a photo to demonstrate the issue that you mentioned? We have not found that the Android auto resolution changed in other people's head unit.
@Randy T Hi there, please kindly send us a photo to clearly demonstrate your current Android auto resolution. Besides, go to Settings > About machine and send us the current Build Number and MCU version. We will await for your prompt reply.
@Randy T Hi there, we have reflected to the engineer, they are still studying in improving the firmware, once they finished the test, we will upload the firmware OTA. Please kindly wait with patience and your understanding will be appreciated.
@Randy T We are wondering if you could download the zLink APK and then go to APK installer to install it, then verify if your situation has been improved a lot?
@Support Dasaita I installed that APK for zLink and there was no difference. zLink is still operating at a lower resolution and looks the same as before.
@Randy T Would you consider updating the firmware to Vivid 13 version which has the latest Zlink app? If so, please kindly download the firmware below and then proceed the update.
@Support Dasaita I installed the update. This system is definitely different. It rearranged Android Auto so that the control icons on the bottom of the screen instead of up the side. Unfortunately the resolution does still seem to be 800x480 instead of 1280x720.
@Randy T Do you remember which version is with higher resolution, we have check a few version like the 20240606 VS 20240513, the resolution is the same?
