How does the hdmi connection work? I plug in my hdmi and nothing happens. How do I change input?

For your information, our headunit have a HDMI output port to connect HDMI cable.
Please make sure that you connection is correctly.
To further verify whether your HDMI device is compatible with our headunit, please provide your device product link if possible.
@Drew Krupp Hi Drew,i mean the what kind of HDMI equipment that you're having?Maybe you could should us the specification of the HDMI equipment.

This is really horrible support when I read this, it does nothing to help my situation. I have the same problem. There are no settings in the G 13 that you can even get to anything that says HDMI I'm using a 2.0 premium cable I can get no output of the unit. I want to play a video to the backseat on a headrest monitor. I have a nice monitor that supports the HDMI input. Nothing I get nothing. I changed the resolution from 720 to 480 to 144 nothing no output. I took the receiver back out of the dash to make sure the HDMI cable was fully plugged in and it was while I had it out. I shortened the cable to the cable that came with the headrest monitor. Now I'm trying the 6 foot long cable and not the 20 foot long cable same thing no output whatsoever what is wrong with this unit and to make matters worse the SIM card won't work either. I am almost regretting my purchase.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
For your information, the unit’s HDMI port is purely HDMI Output, it only sends video signal out to external displays.
This is fixed hardware design, so there are no system settings or hidden options to control this HDMI port at all. The HDMI output signal is always active when the unit powers on.
If you happen to have a computer display or other monitors on hand, please try to connect it to the unit via HDMI cable to see it can work.
At present, our engineering team is working on a permanent solution for T-Mobile network incompatibility issue.
