How to revert firmware/software to stock

  • It's been a minute since I've rooted an android device, and now I would like to return it to original settings. I had rooted the device when I first got it trying to get it set up with a USB cellular modem. I wound up just getting a hot spot that stays in my truck, and can be used for other purposes if needed.

If I'm correct, I should download an original firmware update.zip to install from the recovery screen.

Problem 1: I have no idea where to get the rom that I need to flash in order to return it back to stock.

Problem 2: Even if I found the rom, I dont remember the steps you take to get there.

Do I need to get to the exact rom for the head unit, or will one of the patched versions from XDA forums.

  • @Christopher Rains Hi Christopher,

Do you want to factory reset the unit?

settings > system > reset options > erase all data(factory reset)

  • Yes, that would be great. Im not sure if they're detecting some leftovers when I install the Apple Music App. When I started rooting it, I found all types of options, but nobody helps to remove it once it's been done.

I tried going in to recovery mode, erasing the data and cache, and then I installed the version linked below. Does choosing to erase and reset from the menu inside Android OS do a different level of erasing than the recovery mode? How does that compare with choosing the "erase and reset" option when doing an OTA update from a flash drive.Version before updating

  • @Christopher Rains Please update the Firmware to the latest version via the link below, here are some tips to help you get it done:

    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9fkhng2srynadlzvohbc6/update.zip?rlkey=jqnm8ksr6althxiq45w7a35ld&dl=0
1.Please download the file though the link via your computer/laptop.

(Do not rename and Unzip the file)

2.Format the USB drive before copying the Update.zip  file to it, then insert it to the USB cable, and it will pop out the firmware updating tips on the screen.

(Tick the option"Wipe data and format flash")

  • @Support Dasaita After I do this, I should be good to do the most recent version update, correct?

  • @Christopher Rains Hi Christopher,

The version we sent you is the latest one.

  • Ah, I misread that. Is there a writeup on doing a complete rom flash? The unit is not rooted, but certain apps say it still is. Doing the flash format is not removing whatever is that indicates it rooted to detectors.

  • @Christopher Rains Hi Christopher,

We are sorry that we couldn't understanding you well.Could you please share some pic to our Dasaita Support Team email,so that we could better confirm.

  • This is the error I'm getting when I attempt to open Apple Music app. This is not my photo, but the error is the same. I've done recovery installations/updates choosing to wipe data and cache and installing the version of Vivid11 you provided earlier in this thread. Can you possibly send me a link to the full rom version of Vivid11s so I can erase the device entirely and install full vanilla version of PX6 Vivid11.
