Toyota Tundra/Sequoia PX6 HA5440

  • I have had a couple issues with my HU, but have been able to fix them quickly and easy. Mostly looking for the latest updates for the firmware/MCU to keep my system up to date. Also looking for info on using a dedicated SIM instead of phone hotspot, and what front/rear cams work best.

    Hello.

About the latest firmware, please check it below.

Besides, we'd like to remind that the update operation involves the potential risks, especially the old machine.
To avoid the potential damage or results in bricked unit, we don't recommend to do the update if the head unit can work well.

    ------------------------------
    Update File:
    System Firmware-Vivid11-20250401:
    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gvynerjbwf5qlcap3bphs/update.zip?rlkey=v1p7o6vppnyfpm9cgwguqwak2&dl=0

    Tips:
    1.
Download above update file via your computer/laptop.
    2.
Format USB drive to FAT32 Format.
    3.
Copy the file “update.zip” to the root directory of USB drive.
    4.
    Insert USB drive into the unit via USB cable;
then it will pop up automatically a window of update.
Alternatively, please manually go "Settings > System > System updates" to start the update.
    ***NOTE:
Please make sure that you have ticked option "Wipe data and format flash!".

  • The system did crash on me about a year ago, since then its happened 2 more times. Im not sure what caused the first crash, but each of the other times it happened within 2 days of of downloading another launcher and testing.

Can I back up my curent system to USB, and again after the udate is instaled? Or can it only be backed up to to my microsoft account while connected to WIFI? I would'nt mind have a backup for each update to keep in the vehicle.

One last question, can my unit be updated to VIVID 13?

  • Actually, I do have 1 more question. I have recently upgraded my home internet with Xfinity and it comes with a free cell line for 1 year. Is my unit compatible with an Xfinity mobile sim card?

  • @David Hollabaugh

    Hello.

Please check our update tutorial then give it a shot to see how it goes.

For your information, it doesn't need to backup.
After the update, the system is the latest version.
Backups of the same version cannot be detected and will not be able to be updated again.

It doesn't support to update Vivid13.
To avoid resulting in bricked unit, please do not attempt to do that.

    Vivid11 doesn't support SIM card.
