MAX6 PX6 Android 9 (2019 firmware) - which update is safe? Can it go to Android 10 for iOS 26/27 CarPlay?

  • Hi Dasaita support,

My unit has never been updated since I bought it in 2019. Details (from Settings > About):

    • Model: PX6 (1024x600), 4GB RAM
    • Android: 9
    • Build: rk3399-userdebug 9 PQ2A.190305.002 20190828.185647 test-keys
    • Kernel: 4.4.167 #593 Tue Aug 27 17:18:43 CST 2019
    • MCU: MTCE_HA_V3.40_1 (Nov 11 2019 14:45:14)
    • ZLink: APK 3.3.19, channel hengchangtong, mode wireless CarPlay + wired CarPlay + Android Auto
    • Car: Toyota Vios 2004

My iPhone is on iOS 27 and wireless CarPlay disconnects sometimes.

    Questions:

    1. Which firmware can I safely install on this unit? Is HA2_rk3399_9.0_ota(20211023) from the Firmwares page the right one? (The download file is named HA3_..._9.0_ota(20211023).7z, so I want to confirm.)
    2. Does that firmware include a newer ZLink that works better with iOS 26/27?
    3. Can this unit be upgraded to Android 10 (for example Vivid 20250401, which supports iOS 26)? If yes, please send the correct Update.zip / MCU files and the steps.

    Thank you!

  • Update: I installed HA2_rk3399_9.0_ota(20211023) from the Firmwares page (renamed rk3399-ota-eng.hct.zip to update.zip, FAT32 USB, ticked "Wipe data and format flash", MCU not updated). It worked:

    - Build is now: rk3399-userdebug 9 PI 20211022.210251

    - ZLink went from 3.3.19 to 4.0.32 (channel HENGCHANGTONG-RK3399), still activated

    - MCU is still MTCE_HA_V3.40_1

But I would still like to run the NEWEST firmware, not the 2021 one. My questions now:

    1. Can this unit (PX6, 1024x600, MCU MTCE_HA_V3.40_1, Android 9) be upgraded to Android 10, e.g. Vivid10 (20250401) or MAX10 (20230803)?

    2. If yes, please send the exact files (full image / recovery / update.zip / MCU for 1024x600) and the official steps.

    3. Will my ZLink activation (HWLAC02BA4) and wireless CarPlay keep working after the upgrade?

    Thank you!

    Hello.
The Android 9 unit is EOL.
No new firmware or MCU will be released.
The firmware you have installed is already the latest available version.
Upgrading from Android 9 to newer Android systems is unsupported.
