This is hands-down the most OEM-looking head unit upgrade you’ll find for the Toyota Highlander. It fits the dash perfectly and looks like it came from the factory — I challenge anyone to find a more integrated option.Out of the box, it was plug-and-play with no wires to cut. Steering wheel controls worked right away, and setup was straightforward. Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay both work great, and the wireless connectivity is super convenient. The DTS audio processing noticeably improves the sound quality, and the customizable LED button colors let you match the factory dash perfectly. The gyro-based inclinometer is a neat extra, and the custom splash screen support adds a personal touch. GPS reception is strong, and there are tons of features and settings to fine-tune things to your liking.Phone call mic quality needed a little adjustment — turning up the mic gain and placing the external mic near the rearview mirror helped a lot. Brightness controls could be slightly better, especially in direct sunlight, but the display is sharp and responsive.I was provided this unit to test, and I can honestly say it’s a fantastic option (I arranged to keep it long term because I liked it so much) if you're looking to modernize your Highlander without sacrificing the factory look.
