Toyota 4runner Android Auto Resolution Issue

  • After the latest update for the Dasaita G12 head unit with the 10.25" screen, Android auto fonts and icons are substantially smaller than previously. They are small enough that it almost makes the head unit unusable and it makes driving and trying to operate the unit impossible. I know this is not an Android auto issue and is in fact a zLink or head unit issue as it occured directly after the over the air update for the head unit. Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue.

  • @Support Dasaita developers are changing the dpi on each update. I think it could be useful to put an option on the Zlink setting to chose between three or two levels of dpi settings

  • Hello!

I'm having an issue with my G13 where all the content on Android Auto is very small including all the details on Google Maps. I've gone through every setting and increased all the resolution but Android Auto has remained small. Do I need to update the firmware? What settings should I try for Android Auto specifically?

    Have a great day

  • Hello @Beep Beep

    Thank you for contacting.

Our engineers have informed us that the current size is not a standard dimension and has been manually adjusted by the engineering team. If we enlarge the icon, it may result in visible pixelation or jagged edges, which would likely be unacceptable to most customers.

The current version has been relatively well-received by the majority of our clients. We recommend that you also consider providing feedback on the Google support forums. This could help accelerate the process of developing additional size options and resolution adaptations.

We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss this further if needed.
