Wireless Connection Issues (ZLink/Android Auto)

  • I've got a relatively new PX6 (model QCM6125) that has suddenly begun having trouble with the wireless connection.  When I first got the unit, I was very pleased with how quickly it would establish the connection.  For whatever reason, it's now gotten so that it always takes some action on the phone (ie: turn BT on and off, manually run the AA settings app) to get it to connect.  Generally, I get the spinning wheel on the ZLink screen, the pop up on the phone saying "To continue, select Android Auto on your vehicle screen", but it just won't take the final step and fully establish the connection.

The PX6 has been factory-reset, is running the latest firmware (QCM6125 13 S10A_123 eng.hct.20250311.103730 NA), and MCU version MTCHS_HA4Z_V4.14_1 (7/23/2024).

The phone is a Pixel 8 Pro running Android 16 (Build BP41.250822.010).

I've tried various AA versions but it's currently on 15.3.653804-release which is a beta version.  Same results as the version available in the Google Play store.  No better - no worse.

I'm at a loss for anything else to try.

    Suggestions?

1.Download the documents ①&② through the link on your computer/laptop.
(Do not rename and Unzip the file)

2.Format the USB drive(FAT32 Format)before copying the Update.zip & hmcu.img file to it, then insert it to the USB cable, and it will pop out the firmware updating tips on the screen.
(Tick the option"Wipe data and format flash")

    3.MCU updated GO:Settings>System>MCU updates.

Thank you for your time and cooperation in advance.

  • The updates were successful.  I'll let you know if it improves the connection time.

At this point, the one thing that seems to be able to consistently get the connection to complete is going to the phone's settings and running the Android Auto settiings app.  For whatever reason, that generally seems to get the connection to go ahead and finish.
