I installed a G13 in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma the other week with the CB004-1 harness.
The built in microphone is very quiet. My wife said I sounded very far away. Is this normal? In the factory settings the mic level was set to 0, should I try higher? Can this radio use my OEM microphone that is pinned into the 28 pin connector going into the radio or is it only the built in mic or a mic provided by the 3.5mm jack on the harness?
Second my audio for music using Android Auto sounds incredibly tinny and flat. I've been playing with the equalizer/DSP settings. Disabling the Dobly DSP seems to help a little but it's still very lacking. Is this normal? I've seen some threads saying the firmware may be the culprit.
Lastly the back up camera is very slow to come up. The image and everything looks great but when I put it into reverse I'm waiting about 5 seconds with a black screen before the image comes up. Is this normal behavior?

@Mike Carbary For the first 2 issues, you could try to update the firmware and MCU to the latest version and see if the situation will improved or not.

Regarding to the reverse camera issue, could you please shot a video demonstrate the situation so that we could better confirm?
The firmware update went very smooth, I will test the music quality and mic and report back shortly

@Mike Carbary Hi there, you could feel free to let us know if the update will solve your problem or not.
As to the reverse video, we found that the reverse time is about 3 seconds not 5 seconds as you mentioned before, we checked with the manufacturer, he said that it's normal. It need time for the reverse view to be sent back to the head unit. Your understanding will be appreciated.
The audio with the new firmware does seem better. I'd definitely recommend everyone disable the DSP as the presets make the audio very flat. After this it does not need nearly as much EQ as the previous firmware.
The built in mic now sounds much better although my wife reported a slight echo. Not bad for the built in mic.
I was curious if you could provide the pinout for the CB004-1 harness. Does it wire all 28 pins of the Toyota connector as pass through or only select wires?
