I have the Vivid 13 in my Tacoma. I have notice that after prolong use of the heater in the truck or general warm temperatures out side causes the head unit to get warm. As a result the OS is slowing down and gets laggy. One instance I notice the volume control stopped working, lowers volume and would not respond when attempting to change it until the unit was powered off for a time (cooled down)...In 3rd gen Tacoma the HVAC system is right Behind the unit.
I have only had it for about 3weeks but I am concerned it will be inoperable in the Texas summers .
Any one had similar issues with your head unit? Any one ever take theirs apart and modifying it with better thermal pastes, heat sink or fan mods?
Has Dasaita pushed out any firmware that actively increases cooling or efficiency for heat disapation?? The chipset for these head units came out in 2019 so surely there may be some improvements?
