MCU update problem with unit - Opel Astra/Corsa - 4GB/64GB

  • Hi,

I have an android radio, double din, that fits to Astra 2007. Soon after booting (very soon) a window appears - MCU Update - with two inactive buttons - "Start MCU Update", and "MCU Online Upgrade", and message about missing (not exist) fle above them.

My best shot for now, is to save update files(which i don't have) on memory card (which i have).

But, after small research i have some questions:

    - how to find px version? Is it 5/6?

    - how to find mcu version?

Is it writed inside unit? On board, or something?

  • @Maciej Gołębiewski go to firmware section of this forum and download the latest MTCE MCU upgrade .... Uncompress it to a USB root folder and boot again...it will find it automatically and will upgrade (as far as I know it will prompt user for upgrading).

Remember to remove the MCU uograde files after upgrading as they will be detected again and again and prompted again to upgrade each time booting.

Px5 and px6 dasaita units share the same MCU and therfore the MCU update is the same for them (not the android OTA )

  • @Iker Gomez - thx for advice. Do You sure about that file? It has 213kB only, i've checked few versions.

  • The MCU upgrade file is just a few kb.

The android software upgrade is close to 1GB
