Wifi will not turn on PX6 max 11

  • I have installed new firmware: HA3_rk3399_11.0_ota(20230608)

I have tried reseating the core board as shown in this post: https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/topic/94294/wifi-won-t-turn-on

Are there any other troubleshooting steps to take before returning the unit?

  • @Robert Ball Please kindly let us how long does the issue occur? In the meanwhile, we are wondering if you have connected the wifi antenna on the back side of the head unit.

The other reason that may cause wifi disable is that you have turned on the background connection of zlink.

Please kindly check if you could go to the Zlink settings and disable the background connection option.

By that option disabled, if Zlink is in background the WIFI will not disconnect.

That WIFI disconnection is due to Zlink is forcing to enable the head unit WIFI Hotspot to transmit the Carplay/Android auto video signal by WIFI direct connection.

  • This is a new unit (just installed yesterday) so it has never worked.

The wifi antenna is connected to the connector labeled as wifi (I also tried switching it to the other connector just in case but that did not help).

I disabled the background connection option in zlink + I also disabled zlink in factory settings (carplay/android auto). No change even after rebooting.

It seems like the adapter does not work as enabling wifi never works. A new video showing the behaviour in another way after trying your suggestion of disabling the background connection in zlink:

  • @Robert Ball Would you kindly send us your order number so that we could locate your order detail and give you more appropriate instruction?

  • Amazon order # 113-1209727-2553061

    Sold By: Amazon.com Services LLC

This was an amazon warehouse deals item. It seems it was a return that was resold even though it's broken (though it looked like it had never been installed).

If there are no other troubleshooting steps then I will return it to amazon and write on the packaging that it has broken wifi so they won't resell this again.

  • @Robert Ball Sorry that this store is not Dasaita brand store, we could not cover the warranty of their, please contact with their customer office accordingly.

  • @Robert Ball Did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm running into something similar.

  • I did not. I returned the unit & bought the newer (G12) version. The new one worked out of the box with no problems.

  • @Michael Uribe Do you mean that you have the same issue, please further demonstrate it and we will try our best to solve the problem for you?
