Dead Touchscreen


  • Hello, I purchased a G12 for my 8th Gen Honda Accord and the touchscreen does not work. Yesterday I wired everything up and the touchscreen was working nicely for a few minutes but when I went to clip and screw everything back together the unit rebooted and when it came back it not longer registered my touches. I hooked a mouse up to the usb port and navigated to the touch button reset screen but it never registers my touches no matter how many times I click the "+". I then upgraded to the firmware hoping that there was a bug that has since been fixed regarding the touchscreen and nothing changed. I've disconnected and reconnected everything several times and I still can get my touches to register. Any suggestions?

  • @Support Dasaita Hello, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately nothing happens when I click the + button. I use the mouse to get to that screen but then no touches ever seem to register.

  • @Matthew Sullivan Thank you for your prompt reply. We are afraid that the touch screen cable that has been loose. Please kindly let us know if you could check that cable under the video instruction.(the black ribbon is the touch screen cable)

  • @Support Dasaita Thank you for your excellent technical help. I have checked the black touch screen cable and unplugged it and plugged it back together just to make sure that it is in tight like the video shows. But the touch screen still does not work.
