Microphone issues!! Plz help

  • @Support Dasaita but the system accepted and detected it as a MCU update. It succedded in the update and the 4.15a appeared on the MCU Version.

    Then you have to make sure anyone could not use a G13 MCU update to apply into G12 or you will have a set of bricked units that will claim for a warranty.

    On the MCUs updates up to date never was specified if it was for a G12 or a G13 unit, as they are common platforms.

  • Has anyone on the this forum been able to fix the terrible microphone output issue to the callers on the other side. It's truly sad to have this huge amount and still not being able to enjoy handsfree phone call while on the go.

  • I'm sorry that my first post is a complaint but I too have the dreaded microphone issue. I have it installed in my Jeep and at first I tried to use the built-in microphone...I then tried connecting the external mic and nothing has changed. The issue is a lack of sensitivity, I think...you have to speak loudly into the mic in order to be heard and it doesn't matter which one. I've upped the gain in factory settings but it doesn't appear to have made any difference. Please help.

    I bought my G13 on Amazon with order# 112-1115374-9694613 back on March 13th, 2025

    Please try to update the MCU and then change the setting to see how it goes.

    Tips:
    1.
    Download above update file via your computer/laptop.
    2.
    Format USB drive to FAT32 Format.  
    3.
    Copy the file “hmcu.img” to the root directory of USB drive.    
    4.
    Insert USB drive into the unit via USB cable;
    Go "Settings > System > MCU updates" to start the update.

    After the update, please go Settings > Car > Factory settings (password: 126) > Others > Customer Version > Choose Version 2 > Apply > Exit (Restart).


  • Dasaita Support - I've been fighting this microphone issue on my G13 for over a year now. 

    1) I've updated the software and the MCU three times. I have the latest.

    2) I changed microphone locations / Switched microphones - No difference.

    3) I tried using the Dasaita adapter to facilitate a wired connection - no improvement.

    4) Tested the Carplay vs Android - no difference

    My question is... Does Daisaita even know what the issue is?  Can you take the time to explain the current status of the issue from the engineering perspective and what possible fixes Dasaita is working on?  Some questions I see on the forum that never seem to be address include:

    1) G13 has no manual way to turn off the internal Mic.  Some question on whether the "tunnel effeect" is related to both the internal and external mic being active.

    2) Some questions around the Zlink application stability and a reference by Dasaita that Zlink was working on an update.  Is this the issue?

    I love the product, but this on-going microhone quality issue is a show stopper.  I Dasaita could be open about their understanding of the issue, that would help to reduce the frustration.

    Now, if you ask me to send a picture of the version numbers again, my head will literally explode.  Please don't make my head explode.

  • @Tom Pierce im so glad you posted this today. I'm 2 months in with this issue and am considering moving back to OEM and updating my reviews for the G13. I really wanted it to work out but at this stage, every phone call leads to frustration. I'm having to place my face 1 inch away from the microphone just for the other end to hear me. On top of this, the CarPlay lag adds a solid .5 sec to the phone call making things worse.

     

    Dasaita - this to me is a foundational problem and one of the biggest opportunities to retain customers.


  • @Support Dasaita is anything for the G12?

    In my case, only with one specific rom version the external mic works. When upgrading I lose the external mic.

    Additionally, when the extenal mic works it only works for blueooth calls, it does not capture any soudnd for Android/Android Auto (Google Asssistant/Audio Recorder apps/...)
