Installed this radio in a 2015 Toyota Tundra a few weeks ago. It will just randomly shut off to a black screen and the only way to get it to work again is to use the reset button.

Please check the tutorial below then try to update the firmware.

Tips:
1.
Download above update file via your computer/laptop.
2.
Format USB drive to FAT32 Format.
3.
Copy the file “update.zip” to the root directory of USB drive.
4.
Insert USB drive into the unit via USB cable;
then it will pop up automatically a window of update.
Alternatively, please manually go "Settings > System > System updates" to start the update.
***NOTE:
Please make sure that you have ticked option "Wipe data and format flash!".

I updated the firmware as instructed with no problems. After a few days the radio shut off agin and I had to reset again. What next? I'm happy with the radio if we can get it to not reset like this but otherwise i will return it.

For further confirmation, please tell us when in black screen,
1). whether it can continue to play the audio(music/radio etc.),
2). whether the panel touch buttons can light,
3). whether it can give you response once you tap the touch screen or press the touch buttons.
When the radio gets a black screen there is no audio, no buttons will light up or respond to touch and no screen response. Restarting the vehicle doesn't change anything. The only resolution is to reset the radio.

Having the same isssues and the reset button does not work for me. The only fix was having the fuse taken off and reconnected to get the radio to turn on. i feel like a physical on/off buttong would have been beneficial for situations like this.
