JBL Subwoofer


  • Hello @Support Dasaita and forum members, I have recently installed an Android G13 head unit with the correct harness per the instructions.  However, my JBL Subwoofer in my 2019 4Runner is not producing any sound.  All of my other speakers are working just fine, it is just the JBL Subwoofer.  Please let me know how to enable the JBL Subwoofer in one of the Settings menus or in the Developer Menu.  Thank you! 



  • @Joseph Rohan We are wondering if you have already go to the EQ settings > volume to crank up the Sub volume.


  • @Support Dasaita Yes, I did try cranking up the volume on the subwoofer alone...it was already maxed out when I got to the menu.  I muted every other speaker (front, read, and center) and could here nothing coming from the subwoofer. (See picture for reference)

    I think I may have a new problem now though.  When I attempted to change the settings on a different sub-menu in the 'amp' menu, no I have no sound coming from the rear speakers.  Please help me reset this.  I tried to hit the 'reset' button but that did not work.

    If this second problem is fixed, I still do not have any sound coming from the subwoofer.  Would an update to the software fix this?

  • @Support Dasaita I would consider that but I was told the G13 would play my JBL subwoofer. Why can't I play it without the booster? Also, support@dasaita.com is going to be sending me an update file. Shouldn't that work?

     

    Also, what about the no sound coming from my rear speakers now? 


  • @Joseph Rohan Hi there, the head unit supports subwoofer output. For your car model, we suspect the the subwoofer output is not big enough that you could hardly hear it, it's why we suggest you to purchase a booster instead of replacing the subwoofer.

  • For now, I would be satisfied with hearing my rear speakers with my front speakers. 

    How do I fix this besides a factory reset? 


  • @Support Dasaita I tried a factory reset and that still did not fix the issue.  Do you think it is an issue with the Canbus?  Is it possible to get a firmware update file and/or a Canbus fix for this?
