Dust inside the display/touchscreen

  • Hi, my name is Angelo and I'm writing from Italy. I'm having a problem with my Android radio (2009 Mitsubishi Outlander). Dust has gotten between the touchscreen and the internal display, and this dust is affecting the screen's visibility, especially when the sun is shining on it. I'm attaching a photo.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Can anyone help me or give me some advice on how to remove the dust from inside the display? Is this something I can do myself, or do I need to call a technician?

  • @Angelo AMICI Hello, sorry for missing this post.

Regarding to the dust, may we have your order ID?

  • Hi, sorry for the delay, but I only just read your reply. The order number is:

  • @Support Dasaita Hi, I'm writing again after some time because I contacted support at the email address you provided, but I haven't received a response yet. Can you help me in a different way? Basically, I just need a guide on how to detach/unstick the external screen (the touchscreen) so I can clean the dust underneath and reattach the touchscreen. The radio works, but I don't want to damage it.

  • @Angelo AMICI

    Hello.
We are currently upgrading our email system, which may result in some emails being filtered or blocked.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Unfortunately, we don’t have official disassembly guides or step-by-step tutorials for detaching the external touchscreen available at present.
Separating the touch panel from the main host requires professional disassembly tools and professional technical operation.
Improper prying or disassembly by yourself may easily crack the touch screen, break the internal connecting cables or cause irreversible damage to the radio.
We generally do not recommend disassembly.
