I have problems with the external microphone supplied with the car tablet purchased.
The microphone does not work if you set the factory settings and set the external microphone, my voice is not received either in a call or in voice commands
The voice from the internal microphone is not clear and there is noise.
Any suggestions ?
If I decide to return the car radio, can you tell me the procedure?

@Beniamino Albano Hi there, we are sorry to tell you that the external mic setting in the Factory settings could not work now. As to your issue, could you please kindly let us know if you mean that the external Mic could not receive any voice?
In the meanwhile, please go to Settings > About Machine and send us your current Build Number and MCU version.
Same issue here. When I set the setting to External Mic, there is no sound at all (while I do have an external mic connected). When I call someone, they cannot hear me.
I just upgraded to G12 20240513 but that did not resolve it.
@K D Please remove the external mic and check if the side could hear your voice via internal mic, your cooperation will be appreciated.
@Support Dasaita Hello. I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I bought the external 3.5mm microphone adapter and the mic doesn't seem to register when using Android Auto for Google commands or phone calls. Are these new adapters the issue or is it a software based issue? The microphone is currently connected to the connector labeled "mic".
@Support Dasaita I don't even need to remove it. When I switch to Internal mic, they do hear me. It's only when I switch to External that they don't hear me. Also I'm calling through Android Auto, not sure if that makes a difference.
@B C Please try updated the firmware to the latest 20240513 version from the System update in the home menu.
@K D The option of the external and internal mic is a bug, please ignore it, we are wondering if you have any issue of the call quality, if there is, try update the latest firmware G12(20240513) in the System update on the home menu first.

@B C Regardless the microphone setting in the factory Settings page, please let us know if both Android auto and the Bluetooth call has no sound?
So you're saying the setting should always be Internal, but then it will anyway use the External microphone when connected?
@K D If you add the external, it will use both internal and external. If you remove the external, it will use the internal.
We are wondering if you consider purchase a mic adapter and try your other external microphone.

@Support Dasaita that is exactly the dapator I have. But, I want my car to use Only the external microphone. How do I disable the internal microphone?
@K D We wonder if you could hear others from the external mic when you change it? The internal one is hard to remove.
