Google assistant volume too low compared to music

  • Hi everyone,

I'm facing a frustrating issue with the volume balance in my car. I am using Android Auto connected via the Z-Link app.

When I am playing music and use Google Assistant, the music is normal or even too loud, but the Assistant's voice is extremely quiet. I can barely hear the responses.

If I turn up the volume while the Assistant is speaking, it helps for a moment, but as soon as the music starts playing again, it blasts at a crazy volume level. It feels like the system doesn't separate the music stream and the voice assistant stream properly.

Has anyone found a permanent solution to balance these audio streams when using Z-Link? Is there a hidden factory setting, an adjustment in the Z-Link app itself, or a trick in the phone/Android Auto settings to boost the Assistant's default volume?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • Same issue here but with Apple CarPlay

    Hello.

Sorry to tell you it doesn't support to adjust the volume for these audio streams separately on the head unit.

In order to help you better, please provide below Build Number&MCU version picture to our email address and indicate your Order ID# in email subject.
    Thanks in advance.
