No audio on 2017 Civic Coupe Ex-T

  • Dasaita 9” Inch Car Stereo (this product: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08Q3HGG7N)

Installed per the included instructions and everything is working (wifi etc.) but I am not getting any audio from the unit at all.  I assume this had to do with my Ex-T trim having an amp possibly?  Any clue on how I'm supposed to modify the harness to account for this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @James Noles

1)If your unit has an integrated amplififer...you must check that you received a Canbus Box

    2) Configure correctly the canbus on Factory Settings  (password 126)

  • Hi. Just installed g12 in my 2018 ext. it has an amplifier. I am also not getting any sound. It came with the cambus and using 21. Do I need a different harness?

  • @James Noles did you ever find a solution?

  • I am having the same issue no sound. Canbus is on 21. Anyone have a solution

I purchased the CB100 harness but still no sound. I need a picture of the CB100 unit connected properly to make sure I am doing this correctly.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your contact.

    Please check the CANBUS Settings NO.21 : Settings>Car>Factory Settings:126 >CANBUS>NO.21

Please notice to connect this audio cable.

  • I got mine to work by plugging in 2 red and 2 white in the CB100 harness. I also changed the canbus to the right setting. I am struggling to get the antenna connection to connect to anything though so I am not able to get AM/FM radio. Everything else works great otherwise but it has been next to impossible to find an adapter to work. The Dasaita has both types but it is just that Honda proprietary connection that is creating all my issues. I would like the radio but at this point I am about to give up. I have been at is for almost a week. People dont like helping a woman who installed their own radios I guess lol

  • @HondaAlien17

    Hello,

Thanks for your support in Dasaita.

As you mentioned, the attached image shows the two adapter methods for your reference. Please take a look and see which one might work better for you.

However, if you find the setup a bit complicated, you may consider purchasing an aftermarket radio antenna instead. It can be plugged directly into the head unit's radio interface, making the installation relatively simple.

Please be aware that with this method, the number of receivable radio stations may be fewer than what the original vehicle antenna provides.

    Thank you for your understanding.
