Control Settings does not allow me to change any features pertaining to the vehicle settings.

I cant even change this time now because that was done via the original head unit ?
The original head unit also reset the oil change light and warnings how will i do this now?
Carplay forward or next song does not work either ?
only volume up and down work ?

Please try to do as follows:
1). On your iPhone, go to Settings > Siri > Announce Notifications, then turn on Announce Notifications.2). On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Notifications > Show in CarPlay.
3). After connecting CarPlay, please confirm that you have disabled Driving Focus > Activate With CarPlay on the unit.
(****All this was done and on my original unit it would play message tones but your G13 does not?
it just pops up with no notification sound, im not looking to have it read the messagesas they come in, i would like to choose to listen or ignore it but be notified via the message tone?
Could all my issues be due to a faulty canbus module?
What about wire harness? Could the harness have an error i need this all resolved as right now im not having a great experience....for a plug N Play unit hey..
